What's the MPC?
Movimiento Pro Cultura is a non-profit organization, which aims to promote the positive values of our Hispanic culture and others. We understand that culture is everything that man has created in order to survive, adapt, develop, imposed on the social and natural environment that has existed and exists, and this leads us to affirm that our task is as broad as interesting. We propose, therefore, to promote the knowledge embodied in books, music, graphics, art in all its forms: painting, sculpture, photography, dance, etc., as well as promote individual growth and also a community cultural enrichment through healthy discussion at gatherings of all kinds.
The MPC has a legal structure comprised of a board of director of nine members. Among those four officers: President, María Figuereo, the Vice-President, Gladys Mencia, the Secretary, Altagracia De Peña and Treasurer, Jose Figuereo. These people assume the different tasks involved in each activity proposed in the organization. The MPC considers important in terms of leadership, the direction of the works that we intend to promote. These tasks are led by whom the group considers best skilled in the art. Other members, including board of directors, then become a team that moves in a cyclical direction around this leadership. This method ensures the success of the organization, because what matters is not the position is sustained, but the works carried out in favor of the plan outlined in the organization.
Communication in the MPC
Communication between members of the MPC is direct, through meetings arranged in advance, and through the Internet, using the MPC’s private email group which can be accessed only through permission granted by the web master and after MPC approval in full.
